Learning an instrument can feel overwhelming without a structured path. This 30-day guide breaks down your harmonium practice week-by-week, transforming you from a complete novice to playing basic songs confidently.

Week 1: Foundations & Bellows Control

Focus on basic posture, key geography, and uniform pumping. Play only the Shuddha Swaras (Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni). Practice making each note sound continuous and clean. Dedicate 20 minutes daily.

Week 2: Flat & Sharp Swaras (Komal & Tivra)

Introduce Komal Re, Ga, Dha, Ni, and Tivra Ma. Practice alankars that alternate between Shuddha and Komal notes to train your ear to recognize intervals.

Week 3: Speed & Alankars

Practice double-note patterns and three-note runs. Introduce a metronome, starting at 60 BPM and aiming for clean key strikes without slurring notes.

Week 4: Your First Songs & Raags

Learn Raag Yaman and simple devotional melodies like 'Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua'. Connect notes with lyrics, humming as you practice on the keyboard.
